ADHD Aware AGM
Thursday, May 19th 2016
7:30pm – 9:30pm
Stamner Room, Brighthelm Centre, North Road, Brighton, BN1 1YD
ADHD Aware warmly invites you to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 19th May 7:30pm at the Brighthelm Centre.
We launched ADHD Aware in April 2015 to develop the work of the Brighton peer support group. The idea for ADHD Aware is to be an umbrella organisation which allows us to raise money for the support group, whilst having a broader scope to support other ADHD projects.
Over the past year we have been successful in getting £3,000 of funding. This has enabled us to hire our own private space at the Brighthelm, much more suited to our needs than our previous pub meetings. We are also working on a project to create a national website for Adult ADHD.
At the AGM we will be voting to elect the Management Committee and reporting on the year’s finances. As part of the AGM we hold a consultation and will be asking members to contribute ideas about the work we do and where things should go next. We will email out a full agenda closer to the time, which will also be available on our website.
We are currently taking on new volunteers to assist with the support group and other ADHD projects. We also have vacancies on our management committee that meets every 2 months. For more information about volunteering our joining the committee, please follow this link.
If you would like to attend please could you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to be able to vote at the meeting we would ask that you please sign up to membership here. (The membership form can also be completed at the meeting).
The event is open to the general public and friends and family are welcome to attend.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Hope to see you there.
